Extra sleep. Clean house. Somebody fed me turkey dinner. And despite thinking several times that cats must have absconded with puzzle pieces, I finished this tough one from Lee Valley.

Another nice quiet day. Snoozes. Movies. Groceries. French fries. A puzzle.

Had a low key birthday full of rainy day creature comforts. Slept very late. Breakfast in bed with a movie. A haircut. A snack and some music while working on a puzzle by the fire. Charcuterie for supper. Lotsa kitty snuggles. Grateful for another trip around the sun.

OK I had no intention of napping for a mere 20 minutes. Pffffttt. That’s an amateur nap. But neither didn’t think it would be four hours. Who knows how much longer it would have been if I hadn’t been woken by – ironically – my alarm to start getting ready for bed. Anyway, it was

Making a concerted effort (again) to be in bed with lights out by 9. Trying to get my full 8 hours. Been inching toward the goal all week. Think I will make it tonight. Because I finally didn’t ignore the alarm I set to get up and do the bedtime routine.

Did not enjoy scurrying around in the rain. But at this time of year, I’m glad it’s not snow. Plus we want the ground to be nice and wet going into wildfire season.
